Summary

Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival is organised and run by a committee made up entirely of volunteers. We are always looking for help and assistance from new people

Detailed description

We always have lots of opportunities for volunteers to work with our carnival teams. These range from catering, traffic management, collection, publicity, commercial, daytime entertainment and the procession itself. Whatever your preferred role is, there is certainly something you can do to help us. In return you will be ensured a warm welcome and the opportunity to do as much, or as little as you like. If you enjoy your time with us then there is always the option of becoming a member of the committee. Above all being part of Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival is about having fun and making new friends.

About Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival

The Bridgwater Carnival is the UK's oldest and one of Europe's largest illuminated procession events, held annually on the first Saturday in November in Bridgwater, Somerset, to commemorate the Guy Fawkes Plot of 1605. It features massive, elaborate carts with thousands of lights, marching bands, costumed performers, music, dance, and culminates in a spectacular firework display known as squibbing, attracting huge crowds. It's the first event in the Somerset County Carnival Circuit.
