Summary

Do you know your way around Instagram? Can you put together a snappy Facebook post? Are you interested in wildlife monitoring and research?

Detailed description

Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC) are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help build an online profile to promote SERC and the importance of recording geological and biological data in Somerset.

Training and support will be offered so you don't need to be an expert, but you will need a working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. You should have an interest in wildlife and be a good all round communicator.

This role would suit a creative person looking for a flexible volunteer role. If you are hoping to establish a career in conservation engagement or communications, then this role will help you develop skills in content creation and working within a local records centre.

This is a flexible role, with hours to suit you. We are looking for someone who can offer at least 4hrs a week, up to a maximum of 10hrs per week.

SERC is based at our Taunton Office, but all staff and volunteers are currently working from home. This role is home based.
