Duke of Edinburgh Gardening Volunteer - Kilve Court
If you love gardening, being outdoors and working with young people, then this could be the role for you!
Volunteers are needed to help develop and maintain the garden at Kilve Court. The role will be supervising young people who will be working on the garden, as part of DofE.
The role is a great opportunity to see things grow - plants and young people!
We are looking for volunteers to help develop and maintain a vegetable garden at Kilve Court. The work on the garden will be carried out by young people doing their Volunteering Section of their DofE. However we need adults to help supervise them whilst doing the work.
You will be based outside during the time onsite in the lovely grounds of Kilve Court and work with other volunteers / SSE staff to help support the young people.
Helping these young people succeed in their ambition of attaining their award will be a huge reward for you for your time spent with them. Also seeing their knowledge of planting, growing, picking cycles grow over time as the garden develops will give you a sense of pride in terms of educating the students involved and giving them skills for life. Gentle guidance and education is required from you
