Headway Somerset is a small organisation but has a wide reach across Somerset to provide information and a range of support, rehabilitation and social opportunities for people with acquired brain injury (ABI).
Our services start at the point an individual is in hospital through our hospital liaison service which provides critical support to individuals and more often to partners and families. Rehabilitation is provided by trained staff and a band of committed volunteers through four centres and can also be delivered through one –to-one Outreach. Headway Somerset has been awarded funding to set up a countywide buddying service – ‘Making Headway’
As Treasurer you will be a member of our Board of Trustees and a key player in shaping and developing the organisation through 2021 and beyond as we develop to keep pace with the changing needs of our client group. You will work closely with the Chairman and CEO to review financial systems and to bring your experience and commercial expertise to our organisation ensuring that we will use our funding efficiently and effectively. The opportunity is there to make a significant difference to our organisation and to ensure that it remains sustainable into the future to support people with ABI across Somerset.
