As a Retail Assistant you can take on a variety of roles according to your level of confidence, experience and area of interest. These may include: • stock sorting: assisting in the sorting, preparation and presentation of goods donated for sale • researching: looking up items on the internet to identify them and set a suitable price • steaming: using the steaming process to help prepare donated clothes and fabric items for sale on the shop floor • customer service: being friendly and helpful to customers in order to increase sales • till-operating: serving and assisting customers, taking payment for goods and entering transaction into cash register Meet new people Learn new skills Gain retail experience Build confidence References can be provided. Ideally volunteers will commit to a shift of around 4 hours per week. This is usually 9.00 - 13.00 or 13.00 - 17.00, but we are very flexible!
We give care and support to patients and their families in Bath and north east Somerset and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset, whenever they need it; at home, in the hospice, or at one of our outreach centres. We respect the uniqueness of each patient and their family, and empower them to choose the type of care they receive.
