Helping local people struggling with financial, housing, employment, consumer and relationship problems to find a way forward.
Help people in your local community from the comfort of you own home
People across Somerset are struggling with a range of financial, relationship, employment, benefits and housing issues. Citizens Advice exists to help people resolve their problems and find a way forward, but we can’t do it without our incredible volunteers.
Our Adviceline is a free to use telephone advice service that plays a vital role in supporting people all across Somerset. The five local Citizens Advice charities are working together to run Adviceline and support the growing number of people that need advice.
We desperately need people like you to join our team of home-based volunteers delivering vital advice to local people over the phone. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, and you don’t need any specialist knowledge. With support from the National Lottery Community Fund (COVID 19 Fund For Partnerships) we have created a Somerset Advice Training Academy that will provide all the training and support you’ll need to become a telephone adviser.
Our volunteers tell us that the longer they volunteer with us the more rewarding they find their role, so please visit citizensadvicesomerset<dot>org<dot>uk to find out more and apply today.
