C.L.O.W.N.S (Creating Learning Opportunities in Western Somerset) is currently redefining how we work and deliver our activities, moving into an exciting new phase of change and growth. To help support us during this time and beyond, we are seeking an innovative, high-impact focused, experienced Marketing Executive to help us strategically raise the charity’s profile, broaden public awareness of who we are and what we do, and so enable us to engage with new stakeholders, funders, and service users.
For 25 years Minehead based children’s charity C.L.O.W.N.S has advanced the education and development of children and young people in the West of Somerset; facilitating opportunities for play, storytelling and other activities, supporting the improvement of physical, mental and cultural wellbeing.
We are now shifting our focus to respond to the ever-changing needs of children and young people, specifically in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Promoting social inclusion and the importance of supporting individual aspirations, learning and development, we aim to promote positive lifestyle habits, good mental health and wellbeing; addressing issues relating to social isolation and social mobility, supporting children of “marginalised” and vulnerable families by delivering activities and projects that are vibrant and innovative, with evidence based outcomes.
How are we funded?
We receive generous funding from a variety of organisations, including Children in Need, and many local and regional trusts, and grant awarding bodies. However, we are strategically implementing a step-change, shifting our focus towards larger grants (both autonomous and partnership led) in order to create longer-term financial resilience; laying the foundations for a more robust and sustainable future grounded in meaningful impact and legacy-led projects that will ultimately reach and positively support more children and families.
Who are you?
You are an experienced Marketing Executive, able to evidence the delivery of a diverse variety of successful marketing campaigns, with a passion for the voluntary sector; seeking an opportunity to support a great cause that will make a real difference to the lives of children, young people, and their families.
