Summary

Our office volunteers are the front line for people booking on to our busy community transport service.

Detailed description

We are seeking Office Volunteers to help in our busy Community Office, from meeting, greeting and helping visitors, to answering phones, taking journey bookings, and helping with paperwork and administration.

Without the support of organised and friendly volunteers our service simply could not happen!

Our phone lines begin at 9.30am and the office opens at 10am; we are seeking support between those hours, on a week day that suits you.

You might log in to our transport system to check people's bookings, take new bookings and add them to the system, or make sure the drivers know if there has been a last minute cancellation.

Or you could be helping the visitors to the office with their printing needs, pointing them to the local information they need, or selling them local publications, poo bags and parish guides.

No day is the same, but we can guarantee they are all busy! All volunteers will get training and support from our small staff team.

About Wiveliscombe Area Partnership

We are seeking regular volunteers who can offer 3 hours a week to join our Community Transport office team.

Last year our 40 volunteer drivers carried our passengers on 10,745 journeys.

We have over 600 registered users from all across the local area.

We provided essential transport to:
* 841 hospital appointments
* 500 medical appointments including doctors, opticians and dentists
* 3,970 social care journeys
* over 1,000 shopping trips

We could not do this without our team of organised office volunteers who keep it all going smoothly, and our dedicated volunteer drivers who take the time to keep our community connected.
